Acacia Safaris was created in 2001 as a car hire and transport company, thereafter implementing the tourism sector. The main office is located in Kampala Uganda in the City centre. The company is fully registered as a member of AUTO ( Association of Uganda Tour Operators), ATTA (African Travel and Tourism Association) and ATA (Africa Travel Agents.) In 2005 Acacia Safaris was starting a marketing strategy to promote Uganda in the European as well as the Asian markets and which is making the company a leader tour operator in Uganda.

Client Needs:

The company needed a re-design of its website to mainly showcase of the various services it provides. I was able to work with Cyber Base Limited to make a new design of the website which is clean, open and flexible. The site takes advantage of semantic XHTML for markup and CSS to control all the layout and design details.

“Deforestation: African Resources in Decline” is an educational site targeted at making learning easier for high school students and educators or simply people who are concerned about our environment and would like to learn more about deforestation. A one-stop information site which makes e-learning fun and wholesome and providing an oracle of knowledge and learning experiences.

What was need?

Mtandao Afrika (MAf) Internet Challenge is a website contest for African youth in the age of 12-19. The contest is focusing on the creation of African web sites with African content and promotes the use of African local languages. I worked with a students from Egypt and Uganda to create this educational resource which was translated to 6 languages including local languages. The website has made it to the 2006 MAf finals.

Mukalwe Enterprises (U) Ltd is a registered limited liability company in Uganda which commenced business in the year 2000. It deals in bulk hardware for virtually all construction hardware requirements specifically fast moving items like Cement, Iron Sheets, General Steel Products and construction tools.

Uganda Digital Education Resource Bank (UDERB) will consist of educational resources which can be used by teachers and students to support and enhance the teaching and learning process in Uganda secondary schools. It will be made available on a set of CD-ROMs, on content servers on the School Intranets and possibly on a website.

Client Needs:

SchoolNet Uganda needed a dynamic website which could be used by teachers to share teaching resources to enhance the teaching and learning process. I was able to register the domain name, provide hosting services and I also implemented a dynamic web system.

New Life Christian Center - Uganda is a home based fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ. Its physical location is in Kyaliwajjala Namugongo which is one of the villages in Wakiso district in Uganda, East Africa.

The ministry is made of many different people from different tribes, cultures, and backgrounds. With all our differences and with God’s help we are growing as a multicultural ministry to reach many people here in Kyaliwajjala, Namugongo and in the country Uganda and in the world at large.
