ICTs in Education (Primary Schools)

Written by Matrich on 6th February, 2007

Auhki!! I am sorry for posting this after very many months. However, I have felt the need to post it as it is one of the very success stories I and many other interns including the SchoolNet Uganda staff have worked on.

For those who don’t have any idea. It is Nalinya Lwantale which is a primary school in Luweero. It was blessed to get over 50 laptops and SchoolNet Uganda was contracted to do the training and technical support. For those of you who have just seen a computer at the age of 20 or even above; these days we are having children at the age of 6 using a computer in fact a laptop.

Well, today I just wanted to give you a shot of what we had achieved after the teacher training. The pupils below were able to start using the laptops for their local education. Ofcourse, am sure some of you may not believe that kids can use computers for their education, but the gallery below will provide me right.
