New Laptop and Phone

Written by Matrich on 14th September, 2007

Two weeks ago or so, I decided to give up on my laptop which was making around 3 years or so. It had been a very great resource to me and it is one of the assets which I have valued most in my life. Sorry!! it should be the second next to the data and information which was on it. Fortunately, I have got all the data and information intact. In fact, some people have called my laptop my gf and for sure, it has been a friend in need, in deed etc… For all those years, I have always called it at any one time and it has responded positively without any problem.

Matrich - New Phone & LaptopBut ever since when I was working at home, my kid bro accidentally knocked the cable which was plugged in it and then it fell down; I actually knew that this was anytime happening. The first thoughts which came to my mind was that it was already ka-put. Fortunately, it just got a problem with power in-let port. I have always tried to get it repaired BUT every now and then it had failed so I resorted to using it with the disturbance of having to adjust the cable and having it in the same position afterwards. Unfortunately, I thought that the only option which was left was to get it to someone else since it couldn’t power at all any more. Of course! at this point, you can guess what happened to it. The port was repaired BUT it motherboard was again completely messed up. It couldn’t start at some point, sometimes it could etc. until when it reached a point and I thought that it was time to say farewell to it.

After a day or two, I decided to buy a new laptop, Toshiba A345 with almost the same specifications though kinda above the old one. I also decided to buy a new phone Nokia 3230 with an external memory card which can handle more complex applications, data capability etc. I intend to try out coding some mobile applications so I will try them using this. Probably, you are thinking why this Nokia 3230. Well, it is cheap and I trust Nokia products and as you might realise, I often use public means and down here they are so many ‘bayaye’ waiting to get an opportunity to sneak a phone or anything value. So for now, it doesnt make sense to me to get the phone I exactly need to develop my applications and then in the next minute, it’s gone!
