Great stuff in March 2007
Written by Matrich on 2nd April, 2007
Wow! what a great month in this great year 2007. It is really amazing and I give the Glory back to God. It is just so amazing how the month of March 2007 has been interesting with a lot of travelling both for my family and my friends.
The month began off by me, my bro Allan and dad travelling to Cairo, Egypt for the Mtandao Afrika Youth Camp and Awards ceremony. We really had a fantastic time while there. The most important activity that I enjoyed were the challenge which we were given at the MIT Egypt which were supposed to teach us team work, overcoming fear, self confidence etc.
Ofcourse, the best was that my team managed to win both the Platinum Award in the Science and Mathematics Category and also the STAR (best overall) award in the competition. It was really nice for me because I won the Platinum Award the previous year so it kinda showed progress. Also I was proposed to set up a MAf Youth Committee which has around 5 members now and hopefully it will be soon in full gear ASAP.
Just like a week ago, my bro Nathan received good news that he will be flying to Macedonia for a cultural tour and from his communications, they have done performances and held workshops. Their group is the only African troupe present and they are working with the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. Their performance was very unique and after the performance, they actually got a standing applause for half or so minutes. They are still conducting a lot of workshops there and I would like to wish you all the best bro and a safe journey back home on the 4th April.
Also late in March 2007, I managed to attend the last show of my friends i.e. Myko and Herbert and their group at the Ndere center. It was really an amazing performance which I really enjoyed and also happy that their group has already set off to about over 10 countries for cultural tour.
